Is BeautiFill Right for You?
When you look in the mirror, are you bothered to see that you have too much fat in one area and not enough in another? BeautiFill is a way to take care of both of these problems in one simple procedure.
What is BeautiFill?
In BeautiFill, your doctor will take fat cells from areas of your body such as the abdomen, thighs, and hips. The fat is gently suctioned out and then processed so it can be placed where it is needed, restoring volume to the cheeks or around the eyes and even helping to make the breasts or buttocks more full.
The advantages of BeautiFill
This procedure is considered very safe and is FDA approved. It also works fast – most patients see results after just one BeautiFill session, and the results last for years longer than injectable fillers. Another advantage is that the device the doctor uses to remove fat tightens up the skin in that area. And, there is reduced risk of bruising, swelling, and bleeding compared with other methods of fat extraction such as liposuction.
The BeautiFill procedure
At your consultation, you and your doctor will discuss where you want to have more volume, and your doctor will assess where the best place is to harvest fat from. Before the procedure, you’ll be given local anesthesia, after which your doctor will make a small incision and then insert the “wand.” This wand will suck out the fat cells and then immediately process them to be used in other parts of your body – this is yet another advantage, that this can all be done in one appointment. He or she will inject the fat into these other areas with a syringe. Most patients report little pain from the procedure and there is typically one to four days of downtime afterwards.
To have this procedure, you should be in good physical health, be a nonsmoker, and be free of any condition that may affect circulation or healing.
